Data collection
The data for this part of the study will come from a variety
of sources including:
- videotaped and field note observation of classroom activities,
- videotape and/or audio tape interviews with the teachers
and selected students from the freshmen and sophomore classes,
- in-depth interviews with the upperclassmen
- a pre and post test survey given to the students which
would measure the conceptualization of mathematical concepts, their transference
to real-world events and visual literacy skills,
- weekly journals from the upperclassmen
