Digitizing Video in Rm. 10:
Multimedia Station, Rm. 10 - ICL
This is where you want to be to digitize video
1) Make sure the computer & the VCR are connected:
2) Open up the VideoFusion 1.6.1 Folder (located in the Multi-media
folder on the computer's hard drive) and double click the application
icon.
3)From the main menu, choose Record and select Show Record
Window.
A Window like this should appear.
3) From the main menu, choose Record and select Record Window Size.

4) Again, from the main menu, choose Record and select Video Settings.
The next three pictures are found in video settings. Make sure they are marked appropriately.


5) From the main menu bar, choose Record & select Sound Settings.
The next three pictures are found in sound settings. Make sure they
are marked appropriately.
6) Put your tape in the VCR. Cue it up to a little before you would like to begin to digitize.
You will see the tape playing in the record window.
7) When you are ready to record, press the record button.
8) Press the Stop button to stop recording
.
9) Save the file as a Self-contained quicktime movie. Make sure that you check the box that says Cross Platform.

Note: Use Adobe Premiere to edit the digital video, if necessary.

Note: If you are having trouble getting sound, make sure the cables
are properly connected and that the sound control panel is set appropriately.
Under the Apple Menu, select Control Panel.
In the Control Panel folder, select Sound.
Make sure "Sound In" "Input Source" and "Volumes"
are set appropriately for your sound device.
